ALTER-THICKHAIR is an innovative hair care ingredient that is 100% natural, vegan, and upcycled. Developed from Oud wood—a rare and prestigious material traditionally used in perfumery—it provides a natural alternative to nylon, cotton, or keratin fibers. It delivers an instant densifying effect and a perfectly natural finish. Beyond traditional hair fibers, ALTER-THICKHAIR introduces a new approach to “scalp makeup,” designed to visibly camouflage thinning areas and restore the appearance of density with a natural, lightweight, long-lasting finish.

DRY COATING TECHNOLOGY FOR ENHANCED PERFORMANCE
Natural oud wood fiber optimized using mechanically activated dry coating technology, enabling the durable anchoring of functional particles without water, solvents, or binders.
The core of the fiber is preserved, while its surface is precisely functionalized to create controlled micro-roughness, enhance adhesion to the hair fiber, and provide targeted hydrophobicity.
Result: improved performance in humid conditions and a long-lasting thickening effect, thanks to 100% physical technology with no chemical transformation.

A NATURAL, MULTI-MECHANISM AFFINITY BETWEEN OUD FIBERS, HAIR, AND THE SCALP
Thanks to their unique composition and advanced surface engineering, ALTER-THICKHAIR fibers exhibit a natural affinity with hair and the scalp, based on the synergy of several complementary physicochemical mechanisms. During micronization, the fibers acquire a positive electrostatic charge (triboelectric effect), while hair is naturally negatively charged. This initial attraction allows for instantaneous, uniform distribution without clumping.

At the same time, an exclusive dry-coating technology optimizes surface interactions and imparts hydrophobic properties to the fibers, enhancing their adhesion as well as their resistance to humidity, rain, and wind.

A 100% UPCYCLED AND SUSTAINABLE INGREDIENT
ALTER-THICKHAIR is derived from Oud wood residues obtained after the hydrodistillation process used to produce essential oil. Lessonia upcycles this by-product by transforming it into a high-performance fibrous powder with fine texture.

HOW TO APPLY
ALTER-THICKHAIR can be applied directly to the scalp as a hair densifying powder. Simply sprinkle the powder onto thinning areas, then gently distribute. The fibers adhere instantly, delivering visible results within seconds.
